A Day in the Life: Monday

6:00 AM: Alarm goes off. Hit snooze button.

6:05 AM: “Stupid 5-minute snooze!”

6:10 AM: “Alright, already! I’m up! I’m up!”

6:22 AM: Unplug coffee maker and drag it—and myself—up the stairs to the Pierce prayer room, located on the third floor of the Kerr building.

6:30 AM: Meet with five other friends for an hour or two of “guy time.” Every week we get together to share stories and pray for one another. (I cannot imagine going through seminary without a group like this.)

8:32 AM: Scratch my head: “What am I going to do today…?”

8:33 AM: “…Oh yeah, homework.”

8:45 AM: Grab books and head to library. Find my favorite seat by the window; steal a comfortable seat from one of the carrels; hunker down for a couple of hours of study time.

12:00 noon: Lunchtime. Grab a tray, fill my plate, say “hi” to Florina (the lunch lady), and find a place to sit, eat, and chat. Conversation topics run the gamut: “Did you watch the latest episode of Lost?” to “What the heck is the hypostatic union model?”

12:46 PM: Check mailbox. “Sweet! Another Christianbooks.com catalogue!”

1:00 PM: Back to the library for several more hours of studying.

4:00 PM: Go to the Bennett Center (the Gordon College gym), which is about a mile down the road. (GCTS students [and their spouses] can get an annual membership for only $120/year.)

5:30 PM: Shower-up.

6:00 PM: Dinner with friends and mentor.

8:00 PM: Back to the library for two more hours of study.

10:00 PM: Call it quits. Pack up the books, shut down the computer, and head back to my dorm room.

10:12 PM: Brush my teeth; get ready for bed.

10:30 PM: Read the Bible or listen to a sermon (usually by Tim Keller).

11:00 PM: Nighty-night!
