OCF Day Spring 2016

“For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?” (Luke 14:28 ESV)

Finances meet everyone at every corner, and seminarians and ministers are no exception. In fact, finances are the metaphor through which the life of the follower of Christ is explained: “Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?” (vv 27-28).

The community of the Boston Campus will take up this theme of Spiritual Formation in Finances and explore it together at our Formation Seminar on the Spring 2016 OCF Day. Special guest speakers will be, Jacqueline Cooper and Jim ClouserConsider inviting people around you who may benefit from this particular session. All guests should RSVP here, and arrive at 1 pm, to the Sanctuary of Lion of Judah at 20 Reed St.

Prayer and the Practices of the Sacramental Life

"Prayer and the Practices of the Sacramental Life" was the theme that we pursued together as a campus on this OCF Day.  Dr. Mark Harden - Dean of Boston Campus and Associate Professor of Community Development and Outreach - reflected on the theme in his Convocation message, "Embodied Sacrament," drawing from Philippians 2:1-8.  Prof. Dean Borgman led an impactful Formation Seminar session on the theme, concluding the day with the Sacrament, which he officiated.
