Dr. Edward Keazirian

Senior Professor of Greek and New Testament, Director of the Greek Language Program

In addition to his teaching, Dr. Keazirian is involved in multiple ministries through his local church, the First Baptist Church of Danvers, MA. These ministries include Kids church, the worship team, church boards and spiritual mentoring. Dr. Keazirian also performs about once a month with Creation Dance, a sacred dance company in the greater Boston area. He is also currently a member of Balikatan, the U.S. support organization for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in the Philippines. In the past, he has gone on several short-term missions trips to Alaska, the Philippines and Armenia.

Dr. Keazirian is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, the Society of Biblical Literature and of the Phi Alpha Chi honor society at Gordon-Conwell. He is active in his local association within the American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts and is a frequent guest preacher.

Dr. Keazirian’s scholarly interests include the Greek language, Graeco-Roman backgrounds to the New Testament, Pauline studies, ancient rhetoric, biblical theology, Greek inscriptions in Asia Minor and the Arts in Worship.

His personal interests include Boston sports, classical music, ballet, and British murder mysteries.
