Neglected Voices

As scholars of missions theory often say, "It takes the whole world to understand the whole Christ." Sadly, we often focus only on emphases that particularly resonate with us and our culture. We need the voices of the rest of the body of Christ to remind us that the gospel is bigger than we think.   In order to help us hear some of these "Neglected Voices," we will hold three seminars this summer focusing on the voices of ethnic minority Christians in America.

Dr. Tim Laniak, Dean of the Charlotte Campus and Director of ShepherdLeader Ministries (www.ShepherdLeader.com), will share from his rich experience interviewing Bedouin shepherds, exploring the primary metaphor used for leadership throughout Scripture.

Attendees will come to appreciate how better to be sheep before God and shepherds among his people. Dr. Laniak’s conference ministry has reached numerous denominations, churches and para-church organizations in the U.S. and abroad. His two books on shepherd leadership, While Shepherds Watch Their Flocks and Shepherds After My Own Heart, will be on sale at the seminar.
