Lutheran Studies Program

Gordon-Conwell’s multidenominational history reflects a longstanding commitment both to a theological orthodoxy and diversity. In recognition of this commitment, Gordon-Conwell—Charlotte offers a Lutheran Studies Program to equip Lutheran pastors and laypersons for Kingdom service.

Program Overview

The Lutheran Studies Program features graduate-level seminary training that is built upon the following foundations:

  • Theological
The Lutheran Studies Program equips Lutheran pastors and laypersons to think theologically, engage globally and live biblically through academically rigorous and spiritually deepening training in Bible, theology and practical ministry.
  • Affordable
All Charlotte campus students receive an automatic scholarship, making Gordon-Conwell—Charlotte one of the most cost-effective ATS-accredited seminaries in the nation. In addition, students in the Lutheran Studies Program are eligible for Gordon-Conwell’s innovative full-tuition scholarship program, the Partnership Program
  • Confessional
Classes within the program reinforce Lutheran historical and theological distinctiveness dating back to its Reformation origins.
  • Orthodox
As codified in Gordon-Conwell’s Statement of Faith, the seminary and the Lutheran Studies Program affirms the centrality of Jesus Christ and his Word.
