Aerial view of Tell Dothan
and its immediate environs. The mound is clearly visible in the upper
left of the photograph. Ruins are discernable across the summit,
especially on the southern side of the tell. The Dothan Valley
stretches to the west of the site, through which runs the
Jerusalem-Nablus-Jenin road. The compass orientation of this road is
basically north-south.
