This second photograph in
the sequence depicts the progress of excavations down to Level 4.
Although filled with stones, the full extent of rock-hewn Crypt F is
now visible in the upper left. Crypt H, the rock-hewn loculus in the
extreme eastern end of the chamber, is discernable in the upper
right, though blocked with stones. Just belowCrypt H, the stone wall
of Crypt G is clearly visible. Rock-hewn Crypt E, located on the
southern side of the eastern end of the tomb, is visible in the upper
right the photograph. Looking east.
