The area of Tell Dothan's
western cemetery, located on the western edge of the mound (Area K).
The opening that resulted from the collapse of the Tomb 1 ceiling is
depicted in the lower half of the photograph. The vertical shaft is
clearly visible on the other side of the modern doorway. Note also
that portion of the stepped entryway that is within the tomb chamber,
together with Crypts B (right) and A (left) on the northern and
southern sides of the tomb chamber respectively. Tombs 2 and 3 are
just to the west of Tomb 1 (upper center). Looking west.
