Dates and Deadlines - Boston

Financial aid award letters will be emailed beginning May 15th for students who have completed a FAFSA and GCTS Financial Aid Application by the May 1st priority deadline. Financial aid applications submitted after the priority deadline of May 1st will be evaluated as soon as they are received.

A financial aid award letter will include any funding from other sources (as reported by the student) and the  student's loan eligibility. After receiving an award letter, the student must complete and sign the Award Acceptance Statement and return it to the Financial Aid Office. New borrowers at GCTS must also sign a promissory note and complete a loan counseling tutorial. Both are done online. See Boston-Apply for-Financial-Aid for detailed instructions.

 

Fall 2017

 
May 1, 2017

Priority Deadline to apply for student loans. Complete the FAFSA and GCTS Financial Aid Application by this date. See Apply for Financial Aid for instructions.

May 15, 2017 Financial aid award letters will be emailed beginning May 15th for students who completed the FAFSA and GCTS Financial Aid Application by the May 1st priority deadline.
July 15, 2017

Complete Award Acceptance Statement and return it to the Financial Aid Office. Complete promissory note and entrance counseling at StudentLoans.gov:

Sept 2017          Student loans are disbursed two to three weeks after the start of the semester.
 

Spring 2018:

For Students New to Financial Aid

December 1, 2017 Priority Processing Deadline for students applying for Title IV funds (loans).  The FAFSA and GCTS Financial Aid Application should be completed by this date as instructed here.
December 15, 2017

Complete Award Acceptance Statement and return it to the Financial Aid Office. Complete promissory note and entrance counseling at studentloans.gov.

February 2018

Student loans are disbursed two to three weeks after the start of the semester.
