Need-Based Grant Aid

If you are not eligible for or are not awarded the Merit or Ministry Scholarships/Grants, you may be eligible for Gordon-Conwell Need-Based Grant Aid. Full-time* students, excluding students who are studying only online, are eligible to receive Need-Based Grant Aid, a discount of $100-300 per three-credit course. The amount is based on need as determined by the FAFSA and GCTS financial aid form.

Gordon-Conwell Need-Based Grant Aid cannot be combined with any other GCTS scholarship or grant except the Pierce Discipleship Fellowship.

*A full-time student must be taking at least seven credits in the fall semester and seven in the spring semester.

How do I apply?

Students who are not awarded Merit or Ministry Scholarships/Grants and have submitted their FAFSA and GCTS financial aid form are automatically reviewed for Gordon-Conwell Need-based Grant Aid. Should they be awarded this aid and subsequently be awarded a Ministry Scholarship or Grant (other than the Pierce Fellowship), that scholarship will replace the need-based aid.

Is Need-Based Grant Aid the best option for me?

For assistance in determining whether a Special Scholarship or Need- Based Grant Aid would best suit your educational goals, please consult our Special Scholarship vs. Per-Credit Rate informational form.  Please note that students may not receive both a special scholarship and need-based grant aid and that this form is not applicable to individuals in the Doctor of Ministry program.
