Important Policies Regarding Full-Summer Courses

  • All Full-Summer courses - regardless of when they meet - must be registered by the Full-Summer add deadline of May 22, 2013.
  • Students who register for Full-Summer courses are responsible for obtaining a copy of the course syllabus from the professor at the beginning of the term.  Generally, students are expected to complete some REQUIRED PRE-LECTURE WORK (e.g. reading, papers, exams).  The syllabus will clearly note such assignments.
  • If a course requires pre-lecture work, and a student does not complete that work to the satisfaction of the professor, he/she will be  required to withdraw from the course, receiving a 'W' on his/her transcript and a partial or no tuition refund.  (NOTE: This is an exception to the normal drop/withdrawal policies.)
  • If a course does not require pre-lecture work, and that course holds its first class meetings after the last day to drop with a 100% tuition refund, then students who wish to drop such a course and receive a full tuition refund must  drop the course by midnight on the first day of class.  Students who withdraw from such a course after the above deadline will receive no refund and a 'W' (withdrawn) on their transcripts.
  • Exegesis courses will have a  required language competency examination at the start of the term.  Any student who does not pass this exam will be immediately dropped from the course with a full tuition refund.
  • All work for Full-Summer courses must be completed and submitted no later than August 16, 2013.
  • If you have any questions concerning these policies, please contact the Registration Office at registration@gcts.edu or 978-646-4551.
