Gordon College and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary have a Memorandum of Understanding that allows some helpful benefits for Gordon-College graduates and current students.  Details below.
 

Advanced Standing for Gordon College Graduates

Gordon College graduates who majored in Biblical Studies or Christian Ministry and who matriculate into the Master of Divinity program at Gordon-Conwell's Hamilton campus are now eligible for up to 24 Advanced Standing graduate credits.

  • This agreement is based on the institutions' 2017 catalogs.  Current Gordon College alumni can contact the Gordon-Conwell registration office (978-646-4551 or registration@gcts.edu) to discuss how Advanced Standing might apply for them.
  • To be eligible for Advanced Standing, students must have earned at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in their undergraduate study and completed a B.A. at Gordon College in either Biblical Studies or Christian Ministry in the last 10 years.
  • Advanced Standing is credited to students on a case-by-case basis.  If you would like to have your specific case evaluated, please submit an Advanced Standing Evaluation Request and have your Gordon College transcript sent to the Gordon-Conwell Admissions office.

Current Gordon College Students

A Gordon College undergraduate junior or senior may take up to two courses at Gordon-Conwell for graduate credit, free of charge.

  • The student must get advance permission from the registrars at both institutions prior to enrolling in addition to completing an abbreviated application process with Gordon-Conwell.
  • Appropriate undergraduate credit for these courses will be determined by the college registrar in accordance with NEASC standards.
  • Course limits will apply.

A Gordon College graduate student may take up to two courses at Gordon-Conwell for credit, free of charge.

  • The student must get advance permission from the registrars at both institutions prior to enrolling in addition to completing an abbreviated application process with Gordon-Conwell.
  • The Gordon College registrar will determine whether the Gordon-Conwell course can be applied to the Gordon College master's degree.
  • Course limits will apply.
