Doctor of Ministry Library Resources
See also the Doctor of Ministry Library Orientation handout.
For a full list of quality online resources available, consult the list of Library Databases. These databases are available to all GCTS D.Min. students with an internet connection through the proxy server. For information on how to connect with these resources off-campus, see the EZProxy Tutorial.
Find GCTS DMin Theses Online
Over 2,800 full-text DMin theses are available through the library's online catalog (over 300 of these theses were written by GCTS graduates). To find these theses, follow the instructions on the GCTS Theses Online tutorial. For more information about finding theses from other schools, check the "Research Guides" below.
Requesting Items from the Goddard Library
It is in the best interest of all D.Min. students to establish a relationship with their local public library and make use of their Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services. If either the Hamilton or Charlotte library has an item that is not available through a local library's services, D.Min. students who live in the continental United States more that 75 miles from the seminary are welcome to request a limited number of books be sent to them by mail (no more than six items may be requested at any one time).
For book request instructions and policies, please consult the library's Book Requests page and take careful note of the instructions given.
Renew Items Online
- Library Accounts can be accessed from these locations:
- From the Library Homepage: Click 'Library Account' from the side menu or 'Log into your Library Account' from the WorldCat Discovery search box. The account log-in page will open.
- Within WorldCat Discovery: Click 'Sign-in' in the top right corner.
Log-in information: Library account username and passwords are the same used for other Gordon-Conwell services (SAKAI, CAMS, and email). If your GCTS password changes, the updated password must be used here.
- Once you have logged into your library account you will be able to view borrowed items, contact information, and books on hold.
- To renew one or more items, click the Renew button.
D.Min. students writing approved theses may check out circulating books for a total of 12 months (each item can be renewed 11 times for 28 days each). Thesis loans are ONLY available once a student has finished all residencies and proof of thesis approval can be provided.
A number of research guides and tutorials are available in the Tutorials section of the library's web pages. Below are a few guides that may be of particular interest to D.Min. students:

Overdue Book Policy
All library patrons (including D.Min. students) need to agree to the library's borrowing policy. Please do so by signing an agreement form on-site at your campus library, or read and fill out the Overdue Book Policy.
For questions related to the library resources available to D.Min. students, please contact the Reference Desk by phone (978-646-4004) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org), or use the library's Contact Form.
