EBSCOhost is the most used online resource for searching databases containing journal articles, book reviews, and case studies. Many results are available in full-text. Use the search box to search all EBSCOhost databases, or choose from the EBSCOhost databases listed below.

ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials (EBSCOhost)

Compiled by the American Theological Library Association, ATLA Religion Database covers Biblical studies, world religions, church history, and religious perspectives on social issues. Supplemented with ATLASerials, this database contains over 55,000 full-text journal articles and book reviews from international titles and multi-author works in the field of religion. Coverage begins in 1946 and continues to the present. This is a selection from the 1.2 million records in the ATLA Religion Index.

Alumni/ae can access full-text periodicals that are indexed in ATLASerials through ATLAS for Alum.

Biblical Archaeology Society Online Archive  

The BAS Online Archive is an educational Web site containing the full text of each issue of the bimonthly magazine Biblical Archaeology Review from 1975 to present, as well as five books published by the Biblical Archaeology Society (BAS).

Biblical Bibliography of Lausanne (BiBIL)  

BiBIL (Biblical Bibliography of Lausanne) is the bibliographical database produced by the University of Lausanne's Institut romand des sciences bibliques (IRSB – Insitute for Biblical Studies of the French speaking part of Switzerland). It offers the scholar reliable, constantly increased and freely available information on publications in the field of Biblical research. BiBIL is a comprehensive database on Biblical and related studies.

BILDI (Documentation for Biblical Literature Innsbruck)  

Classified documentation on biblical and biblical-archaeological literature, published in articles, collected works and monographs; since 1990 partly with references to book reviews.

Catholic Periodical and Literature Index (EBSCOhost)

This database covers all aspects of the Catholic faith and lifestyle, and includes over 370,000 index citations of articles and reviews published in Roman Catholic periodicals, Papal documents, church promulgations, and books about the Catholic faith. Coverage in the database dates back to 1981.

Christian Periodical Index (EBSCOhost)

Published by the Association of Christian Librarians, CPI provides access to English language articles and reviews from an evangelical perspective.  The electronic version of the Christian Periodical Index includes most titles from 1976 to the present.

ERIC - Education Resources Information Center  

ERIC - the Education Resources Information Center - is an online digital library of education research and information. ERIC is sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education. ERIC provides ready access to education literature to support the use of educational research and information to improve practice in learning, teaching, educational decision-making, and research.

Family & Society Studies Worldwide (EBSCOhost)

Family & Society Studies Worldwide, produced by NISC, is a core resource providing the most comprehensive coverage of research, policy, and practice literature in the fields of Family Science, Human Ecology, Human Development, and Social Welfare. FSSW is an anthology of 4 database files providing access to over 846,080 records. Coverage spans from 1970 to the present.

Index of Jewish Periodicals (EBSCOhost)

This is the definitive index on Jewish history, activity and thought. It provides a comprehensive guide to English-language articles, book reviews, and feature stories in more than 220 journals devoted to Jewish affairs. Index to Jewish Periodicals is intended for students of Jewish thought and others interested in contemporary Jewish and Middle Eastern affairs. Journal coverage dates back as far as 1988.

Index Theologicus

This allegro database contains document descriptions from more than 600 periodicals and from Festschriften and congress publications. It is updated every night and represents the state of the preceding work day. Full-text of older German theological periodicals (DigiTheo).

JSTOR  

JSTOR provides full-text access to core academic journals. Gordon-Conwell subscribes to the Arts & Sciences collections III, IV & V. These collections include journals in languages and literature, music, film studies, folklore, performing arts, religion, the history and study of art and architecture, business, education, law,  psychology, public policy and administration, philosophy, history, and classics.

iPreach  

iPreach offers the finest in contemporary biblical study and preaching resources to pastors and teachers by renewable online subscription. This extensive collection of commentaries, Bible dictionaries, and other reference works provides a breadth of substantial, searchable materials with which to prepare sermons and lessons—all in one place.

New Testament Abstracts (EBSCOhost)

This database contains more than 33,000 article abstracts, 1,200 review abstracts, 12,600 book abstracts, and 50 software abstracts. Each year an additional 2,150 articles from more than 500 periodicals in numerous languages are selected for inclusion. In addition, nearly 850 current books are also summarized annually. Article coverage in the database dates back to 1985.

Old Testament Abstracts (EBSCOhost)

This database features indexing and abstracts for journal articles, monographs, multi-author works, and software related to Old Testament studies. Content from over 450 journals is covered. All abstracts are in English, regardless of the language of the original work. Topics covered include antiquities, archaeology, biblical theology, philology and much more. Coverage in the database dates back to 1978.

ProQuest Religion  

ProQuest Religion is an indispensable resource for religious studies programs and for anyone researching religious issues and perspectives. This resource presently has more than 220 journals, with most of them available with full-text. The content is full-text, scholarly, and designed to meet the needs of both religious studies programs and general library collections.

PsycARTICLES (EBSCOhost)

Contains more than 25,000 searchable full-text articles from 42 journals from 1988 to the present. Covers general psychology and specialized basic, applied, clinical, and theoretical research in psychology.

PsycINFO (EBSCOhost)

PsycINFO, the American Psychological Association’s renowned resource for abstracts of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations, is the largest resource devoted to peer-reviewed literature in behavioral science and mental health. It contains approximately 3 million citations and summaries dating as far back as the 1600s with DOIs for over 1.4 million records. Journal coverage, which spans from the 1800s to present, includes international material selected from around 2,400 periodicals in dozens of languages.

Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection (EBSCOhost)

This database provides coverage of nearly 550 full text journals, including more than 500 peer-reviewed titles. Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection covers topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.

RAMBI - The Index of Articles on Jewish Studies  

RAMBI - The Index of Articles on Jewish Studies - is a selective bibliography of articles in the various fields of Jewish studies and in the study of Eretz Israel. Material listed in Rambi is compiled from thousands of periodicals and from collections of articles - in Hebrew, Yiddish, and European languages- mainly from the holdings of the Jewish National and University Library, a world center for research on the Jewish people and Eretz Israel. The main criterion for inclusion in the bibliography is that the article be based on scientific research, or contain important information for such research. Since the inception of this bibliographic project in 1966, the editorial board has striven to include in it all of the important articles published throughout the world in the field of Judaica. Therefore, it includes offprints of articles from journals or collections not on order to the Library. Rambi also lists articles from secondary sources.

Religion & Philosophy Collection (EBSCOhost)

This database provides extensive coverage of such topics as world religions, major denominations, biblical studies, religious history, epistemology, political philosophy, philosophy of language, moral philosophy and the history of philosophy.

Religious & Theological Abstracts  

Religious & Theological Abstracts (R&TA) provides objective summaries of articles appearing in scholarly journals in the fields of Religion and Theology.
