ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials (EBSCOhost) 
Biblical Archaeology Society Online Archive
- The BAS Online Archive is an educational Web site containing the full text of each issue of the bimonthly magazine Biblical Archaeology Review from 1975 to present, as well as five books published by the Biblical Archaeology Society (BAS).
Catholic Periodical and Literature Index (EBSCOhost) 
- This database covers all aspects of the Catholic faith and lifestyle, and includes over 370,000 index citations of articles and reviews published in Roman Catholic periodicals, Papal documents, church promulgations, and books about the Catholic faith. Coverage in the database dates back to 1981.
Christian Periodical Index (CPI) (EBSCOhost) 
- Published by the Association of Christian Librarians, CPI provides access to English language articles and reviews from an evangelical perspective. The electronic version of the Christian Periodical Index includes most titles from 1976 to the present.
Digital Dissertation Abstracts
- With more than two million entries, the Dissertation Abstracts database is the single, authoritative source for information about doctoral dissertations and master's theses. The database represents the work of authors from over 1,000 graduate schools and universities.
Digital Library of Classic Protestant Texts
- The Digital Library of Classic Protestant Texts gives researchers immediate, Web-based access to an extensive range of seminal works from the Reformation and post-Reformation eras. With new content uploads occurring on a weekly basis, the database offers a constantly growing treasury of theological writings, biblical commentaries, confessional documents, and polemical treatises written by more than 300 Protestant authors.
Early English Books Online (EEBO) - Biblical Studies Topical Collection
- Digitized from the UMI Early English Books collection in microform, the Biblical Studies Topical Collection includes every work listed in the Pollard & Redgrave's Short-Title Catalogue (1475-1640), Wing's Short-Title Catalogue (1641-1700), and the Thomason Tracts (1640-1661) on the following subjects: Sermons, Hermeneutics, Commentaries, Interpretation and Bibles.
eLibrary
- Information from books, magazines, and newspapers. Includes maps, pictures and transcripts from TV and radio.
Family & Society Studies Worldwide (EBSCOhost) 
- Family & Society Studies Worldwide, produced by NISC, is a core resource providing the most comprehensive coverage of research, policy, and practice literature in the fields of Family Science, Human Ecology, Human Development, and Social Welfare. FSSW is an anthology of 4 database files providing access to over 846,080 records. Coverage spans from 1970 to the present.
Index of Jewish Periodicals (EBSCOhost) 
- This is the definitive index on Jewish history, activity and thought. It provides a comprehensive guide to English-language articles, book reviews, and feature stories in more than 220 journals devoted to Jewish affairs. Index to Jewish Periodicals is intended for students of Jewish thought and others interested in contemporary Jewish and Middle Eastern affairs. Journal coverage dates back as far as 1988.

- The following databases from the Gale Group are available, at no charge, in all NMRLS member libraries: Biography Resource Center, plus Marquis Who's Who, Business and Company Profiles, Contemporary Literary Criticism Select, Expanded Academic ASAP, General Business File ASAP, General Reference Center Gold, Health Reference Center Academic, Junior Edition (K-12), Kids Edition (K-12), Kids InfoBits, Professional Collection, and Student Edition.

- iPreach offers the finest in contemporary biblical study and preaching resources to pastors and teachers by renewable online subscription. This extensive collection of commentaries, Bible dictionaries, and other reference works provides a breadth of substantial, searchable materials with which to prepare sermons and lessons—all in one place.
NetLibrary (List of Subjects)
- Over 700 theological titles and hundreds more are now through NetLibrary in full-text. An list of subjects in Library of Congress call number order is available. All Netlibrary books available to the GCTS community are searchable at NetLibrary. To access these ebooks, either perform a search for your desired topic, author, or title at the NetLibrary site (after logging into EZproxy), or navigate to the appropriate subject group and click the direct title link.
New Testament Abstracts (EBSCOhost) 
- This database contains more than 33,000 article abstracts, 1,200 review abstracts, 12,600 book abstracts, and 50 software abstracts. Each year an additional 2,150 articles from more than 500 periodicals in numerous languages are selected for inclusion. In addition, nearly 850 current books are also summarized annually. Article coverage in the database dates back to 1985.
Old Testament Abstracts (EBSCOhost) 
- This database features indexing and abstracts for journal articles, monographs, multi-author works, and software related to Old Testament studies. Content from over 450 journals is covered. All abstracts are in English, regardless of the language of the original work. Topics covered include antiquities, archaeology, biblical theology, philology and much more. Coverage in the database dates back to 1978 .
Perseus 
- Under development since 1987, Perseus covers the history, literature and culture of the Greco-Roman world. Perseus is a free online resource that contains some many ancient Greek writings with the ability to search the Greek text. Perseus also contains several helpful lexicons of both Greek and Latin.
PsycARTICLES (EBSCOhost) 
- Contains more than 25,000 searchable full-text articles from 42 journals from 1988 to the present. Covers general psychology and specialized basic, applied, clinical, and theoretical research in psychology.
Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection (EBSCOhost) 
- This database provides coverage of nearly 550 full text journals, including more than 500 peer-reviewed titles. Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection covers topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.
Research in Ministry (RIM)
- RIM® Online is a freely available database that indexes DMin projects from reporting schools of theology accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada.
Religion & Philosophy Collection (EBSCOhost) 
- This database provides extensive coverage of such topics as world religions, major denominations, biblical studies, religious history, epistemology, political philosophy, philosophy of language, moral philosophy and the history of philosophy.
Religious & Theological Abstracts
- Religious & Theological Abstracts (R&TA) provides objective summaries of articles appearing in scholarly journals in the fields of Religion and Theology.
Stanford Encylopedia of Philosophy (SEP) (New)
- The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy (SEP) was designed so that each entry is maintained and kept up to date by an expert or group of experts in the field. All entries and substantive updates are refereed by the members of a distinguished Editorial Board before they are made public. The dynamic reference work maintains academic standards while evolving and adapting in response to new research. You can cite fixed editions that are created on a quarterly basis and stored in our Archives (every entry contains a link to its complete archival history, identifying the fixed edition the reader should cite).
Thesaurus Linguae Graecae (TLG) 
- The TLG Digital Library contains virtually all Greek texts surviving from the period between Homer (8th century B.C.) and A.D. 600 and the majority of surviving works up the fall of Byzantium in A.D. 1453.
TREN (Theological Research Exchange Network) 
- The Theological Research Exchange Network (TREN) is a library of over 10,000 theological thesis/dissertation titles representing research from as many as 70 different institutions.
UCLA Encyclopedia of Egyptology (UEE) (New)
- This website provides an encyclopedia on ancient Egyptian history and culture with peer-reviewed articles from the world's leading Egyptologists, archaeologists, linguists, art historians, geologists, and others. Topics include scarabs, Osiris and the deceased, famine, and cordage production. Search, or browse papers by year. The articles are in English, each with an abstract in Arabic..
Valley of the Shadow (New)
- The Valley of the Shadow is an electronic archive of two communities in the American Civil War--Augusta County, Virginia, and Franklin County, Pennyslvania. The Valley Web site includes searchable newspapers, population census data, agricultural census data, manufacturing census data, slaveowner census data, and tax records. The Valley Web site also contains letters and diaries, images, maps, church records, and military rosters. The Valley project is a University of Virginia research project funded in part by the National Endowment of the Humanities.
Wabash Center (New)
- A selected, annotated guide to a wide variety of electronic resources of interest to those who are involved in the study and practice of religion: syllabi, electronic texts, electronic journals, web sites, bibliographies, liturgies, reference resources, software, etc. The purpose of the Guide is to encourage and facilitate the incorporation of electronic resources into teaching.
The World Christian Database (WCD)
- The World Christian Database (WCD) represents the core data from the World Christian Encyclopedia (WCE) and World Christian Trends (WCT). The WCD includes detailed information on 9,000 Christian denominations and on religions in every country of the world.
WorldCat
- WorldCat is a worldwide union catalog created and maintained collectively by more than 9,000 member institutions. With millions of online records built from the bibliographic and ownership information of contributing libraries, it is the largest and most comprehensive database of its kind. Simple keyword searches for books are available to all through WorldCat.org. More complex searches can be performed through FirstSearch (which requires and EZproxy login off-campus).
*Other databases are available to specific Gordon-Conwell campuses. Massachusetts-based students (from the South Hamilton / Boston campuses) can access Grolier Online, Informe, Newsbank and more through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. To log in, use your "Web Library ID" found on your student ID card. It is a 14-digit number beginning with "20536000" and ending with your 6-digit GCTS ID number. Many other databases, including JSTOR, are available to Massachusetts-based students with a Boston Public Library eCard.
