Library Resources

The libraries at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary offer a host of online research resources to students, staff and faculty.

Online Catalog

  • Use the library's online catalog to search for in-print books and journals available at each campus library. You can use the online catalog to renew your books and to view course reserves.

Online Databases

  • Twenty-eight databases are available both on-campus and off-campus through EZproxy. Databases include the ATLA Religion Database, New Testament and Old Testament Abstracts, PsycARTICLES, Thesaurus Linguae Graecae and much more! Use these databases to hunt down articles and books, to perform Greek word studies, to view primary sources for church history, and much more!

Journals

  • Over 2,000 journals are available online in subjects ranging from theology and biblical studies to psychology and pastoral ministry. Most titles are available remotely through EZproxy. These electronic holdings supplement the in-print journal holdings in each campus library. You can now browse the list of journals by subject, title or publisher, or you can search for individual titles.

Netlibrary Ebooks

  • Well over 1,000 books in theology and biblical studies are available via Netlibrary. You can browse Netlibrary holdings by subject, or you can perform keyword searches on books available to Gordon-Conwell.

  • The library is in the process of compiling links to free online resources useful to the Gordon-Conwell community. Feel free to suggest a link that you think would be helpful!

Reference Services

  • Reference services are available to the Gordon-Conwell community via email or phone. Feel free to contact the reference librarian with research questions or for help accessing online databases.

ATLAS for Alum

  • Free to Gordon-Conwell alumni/ae! ATLAS for Alum is an online collection of major religion and theology journals selected by leading religion scholars and theologians. Users can read articles or research the history of a topic from as early as 1924 to the present. Currently, researchers are able to use ATLAS for Alum as a search tool to retrieve articles in more than one-hundred different journals. Sign up at the Alumni/ae and Friends site to gain access.
