A Note from President Hollinger on the Newtown Tragedy
December 18, 2012
During this time of shock and grief over the tragedy in Newtown, we are aware that Gordon-Conwell has several alumni in the area, some are pastors, others serve in lay vocations. Please remember in prayer the people of Newtown and our graduates whose lives intersect with residents affected directly and others who have questions that are of an eternal nature. Together we can trust that God's overwhelming comfort will blanket the agony of people who have experienced great loss. Our great God is able to redeem situations even as unthinkable as the one that unraveled this past Friday.
"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing." (II Cor 2:14-15)
