Alumni Forum: Jesus, Scripture, Israel, and Palestine

April 10, 2014

February 20, 2014

The subjects of Israel, Palestine and End Times frequently divide the Body of Christ--both historically and theologically. It is an emotional and politically-charged subject which has often generated more heat than light.

JOIN US as the GCTS-Charlotte Alumni Assoc. sponsor "Jesus, Scripture, Israel, and Palestine..." A candid discussion between JM Smith (MDIV '06) and Dr Michael Brown (PHD, NYU, Founder, FIRE School of Ministry) as they explore both ends of the disparate spectrum of beliefs that christian brothers hold about Israel. For example:

  • Does Scripture present a plan for Israel as a modern nation?
  • Do the Abrahamic promises of the Land apply to secular Israel?
  • Is the return of the Jewish people to their ancestral homeland a fulfillment of Biblical end times prophecy?
  • What role do Messianic Jews and Arab Christians have to play in the ongoing Middle East hostilities?

The Alumni committee of GCTS Charlotte are excited to host this first in a series of forums devoted to areas where Christians hold differing views in an open, honest and unified environment. Disagreement and debate, when done prayerfully and charitably, can sharpen and edify the Body of Christ.

This event is FREE and open to the general public (though space is limited due to the size of the venue).
