David Ro Named New Director of Wilson Center for World Missions

May 29, 2013

Rev. David Ro (M.Div. ’96) has been appointed the new Director of the J Christy Wilson, Jr. Center for World Missions at Gordon-Conwell—Hamilton, effective immediately.

David is a long-term missionary with OMF International, primarily focusing on the emerging Christian leadership in China, and serves as the Lausanne International Deputy Director/East Asia. He will continue in his roles with OMF International and Lausanne, serving as a significant liaison between the two organizations and Gordon-Conwell.

The Gordon-Conwell community is excited to welcome David and trusts that he will play a vital part in the globalization of our institution. We have received enthusiastic words of approval from Michael Oh, President of the Lausanne Movement, and Patrick Fung, General Director of OMF International, regarding David's appointment at Gordon-Conwell.

David and his wife, Jackie, have three children and will be moving to Lowell, MA, to be embedded in the Asian diaspora community there.
