Early Registration for Divine Presence Conference Extended

September 12, 2013

Gordon-Conwell will host a national conference in honor of Dr. Gary Pratico, Senior Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew Language, entitled “God With Us: The Theme of Divine Presence in Scripture” on October 17–18, 2013.

“The theology of divine presence is profoundly simple and yet it is simply profound. It is a topic of inquiry at the highest level of scholarship but, more importantly, it is a promise for everyday life and living," explains Dr. Pratico. "The reality of God’s redemptive, sustaining presence in our lives is our source of hope, consolation and joy amidst the victories and trials of life. We don’t have to ‘go it’ alone; he is with us. He is our Emmanuel.”

Pastors, teachers, alumni and friends of the seminary are encouraged to attend and explore this important theme. The early registration rate of $155 has been extended to September 18. Take advantage of this great opportunity and register today!

Distinguished speakers include Drs. Douglas Stuart, Donna Petter and Gordon Hugenberger of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary; Dr. Lawrence Stager of Harvard University; Dr. James Hoffmeier of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School; and Dr. Gregory Beale of Westminster Theological Seminary. Special workshops will be led by Drs. Carol Kaminski, Catherine McDowell, Jeffrey Niehaus and Alvin Padilla of Gordon-Conwel Theological Seminary; Ms. Christine Palmer of the University of Cincinnati; Dr. Jay Sklar of Covenant Theological Seminary; and Dr. Miles Van Pelt of Reformed Theological Seminary.
