Gordon-Conwell Appoints Bilingual Expert in Homiletics as Associate Dean of Hispanic Ministries Program

HAMILTON, Mass. (December 5, 2016) – As part of Gordon-Conwell’s continued commitment to assembling teams of world-renowned faculty and leaders, PRESIDENT DENNIS P. HOLLINGER is pleased to announce REV. DR. PABLO A. JIMENEZ as the new Associate Dean of Hispanic Ministries Program in South Hamilton, Mass.
JIMENEZ brings important assets to the seminary including expertise in homiletics as well as decades of experience as Senior Pastor in Puerto Rico, Senior Editor of Chalice Press Christian Board of Publication, Executive Director of the Association of Hispanic Theological Education as well as National Pastor for Hispanic Ministries in the U.S. and Director of the Biblical Institute in Puerto Rico for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ denomination).

Also a sought after speaker and author, JIMENEZ will lead Gordon-Conwell’s Hispanic Ministries Program, which currently trains nearly 400 students around the world.

JIMENEZ holds his Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary, a Sacred Theology Masters from Christian Theological Seminary and a Masters in Divinity from Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico. An ordained minister since 1984, he has authored publications including co-authorship of Pulpito: An Introduction to Hispanic Preaching and An Untimely Word: Reflections on Preaching in a Postmodern Time. Originally from New York, JIMENEZ grew up in Puerto Rico, St. Croix and the US Virgin Islands. He is married to Glorimar and has three children.
