Accessing the Boston Public Library

Any students at either Gordon-Conwell’s South Hamilton or Boston campus have access to the Boston Public Library’s online resources with a BPL eCard.

Full instructions on obtaining an eCard are available here: http://www.bpl.org/help/ecard.pdf.

Instructions in short:

  • Go to http://www.bpl.org.
  • Click “My Account”.
  • Click the “Get a BPL eCard” button.
  • Fill out the form and click “I accept.”
  • Take note of the library card number that is supplied. It will give you access to all of BPL’s online resources.

More information about BPL eCards is available online: http://www.bpl.org/general/circulation/ecards.htm

Once you’ve obtained the BPL eCard, you can access a host of items, including the invaluable collection of online journals known as “JSTOR” through the BPL “Electronic Resources” page (to get there, click the “Electronic Resources” menu item at the top of the BPL home page).
