Gordon-Conwell Announces New Dean of Boston Campus

Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary is pleased to announce that Dr. Mark Harden will join us as the new Dean of our Boston campus. He will begin his new role in January of 2012.
For the past decade, Dr. Harden has served with distinction at Bethel Seminary, most recently as Dean of Intercultural Relations, Degree Program Director and Lead Faculty Instructor for Bethel Seminary’s Community Ministry Leadership program. Dr. Harden brings to his position visionary leadership and more than 20 years of combined leadership experience in community service ministry and graduate theological education, as well as international and cross-cultural experience in Croatia and South Africa.
An ordained Baptist minister, Dr. Harden has served in various pastoral roles since 1983. He has also been involved in curriculum development and is an experienced speaker. He holds a D.Phil. from Michigan State University and an MA from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dr. Harden will be replacing Dr. Dwight Jessup, who served as Interim Dean of CUME for eight months. Dr. Jessup brought to the position many years of experience as an academic administrator and was a valuable contributor to the mission of CUME.
