“Equip and Renew,” a half-day conference for pastors will be held January 26, 2010 in partnership with the Metrolina Baptist Association of North Carolina. Dr. Alan Myatt, Southern Baptist missionary and visiting professor of theology, will address the Great Commission resurgence. Dr. Rod Cooper, professor of discipleship, will address conflict management among church/staff leadership. Dr. Kelly Breen Boyce, ranked adjunct assistant professor of counseling, will advise on “when to counsel, when to refer.” Lunch will be served at the end of the morning.

The new Charlotte Region Alumni Council invites all GCTS alumni in the Charlotte area to a Christmas gathering on campus! Dr. Denton Lotz, General Secretary Emeritus of the Baptist World Alliance, has joined Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary as a co-mentor for its Missions and Cross-Cultural Studies Track in its Doctor of Ministry program. He joins Dr. Peter Kuzmič, the Eva B. and Paul E. Toms Distinguished Professor of World Missions and European Studies at Gordon-Conwell.

President Dennis Hollinger will be lecturing on "The Meaning of Sex" at the 2009 Kalland Forum at Gordon-Conwell.  The forum will take place on Tuesday, November 17th at 7:00pm in AC 354 on the Hamilton campus. The lecture is free and open to the public.  President Hollinger recently released a book on the topic entitled The Meaning of Sex: Christian Ethics and the Moral Life.

South Hamilton, MA—Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Christian Book Distributors (CBD) have signed a new agreement that offers books, textbooks and other products at competitive prices and gives a portion of the proceeds to the seminary.
