Compass is a three-phase program of the Ministry Center for Christian Youth of
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary that seeks in partnership with local
church pastors/mentors, to identify youth for ministry, equip them for service,
and mentor them to maturity.

Benefits of Being a Compass Mentor
As a mentor, the Ministry Center for Christian Youth wants to come alongside you
and support your mentoring relationship! Mentors who participate in the Compass program
receive:
- Bi-Monthly Packets
Based around different themes, mentors receive 6 packets
each year. These include articles, as well as information for general areas of the
students' daily lives like school, music, or media.
- Discounts
Receive discounts on other Ockenga events. Check out the Pastor/Mentor
Resources page for more information on this benefit.
- An Eternal Impact
We believe these mentors are having an impact far greater
than they will ever see. Many of our mentors say, however, that this relationship
has a more immediate impact as well in their own lives as they watch their student
grow in Christ. And as many think about the responsibility of being a mentor, they
are also compelled to grow in their own spiritual walks!
We trust that the Compass Program will be as renewing for
mentors and churches
as it is spiritually significant for those whom they mentor.
