The Journey Continues...

The foundation of the Compass program is a three-year mentoring relationship between pastors and their program nominees. The Compass program provides resources, support and enrichment to the mentors as they invest in the life and training of future leaders for the church.


Benefits for Compass Mentors

The Ministry Center for Christian Youth wants to come alongside mentors and support their mentoring relationships! Mentors who participate in the Compass program receive:

  • Bi-Monthly Packets
    Based around different themes, mentors receive 6 packets each year. These include articles, as well as information for general areas of the students' daily lives like school, music, or media.

  • Discounts
    Receive discounts on other Ockenga events. Check out the Pastor/Mentor Resources page for more information on this benefit.

  • An Eternal Impact
    We believe these mentors are having an impact far greater than they will ever see. Many of our mentors say, however, that this relationship has a more immediate impact as well in their own lives as they watch their student grow in Christ. And as many think about the responsibility of being a mentor, they are also compelled to grow in their own spiritual walks!
