Online, Low Residency Master of Arts in Religion with Concentrations

The online Master of Arts in Religion (MAR) at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary equips men and women to live biblically and think theologically in the face of rapidly changing local and global needs of the Church. Our part-time online Master’s in Religion blends engaging online courses with intensive campus residency experiences that encourage and challenge students to reflect, integrate, and apply knowledge in diverse ministry settings.  Designed with the working professional in mind, our online Master’s in Religion is ideal for those who are active in lay ministry, those in active pastoral ministry who do not require an M.Div., and those who work in para-church organizations.

Quality with Convenience

Students studying at a distance receive the same high quality Gordon-Conwell education as students studying on one of our four campuses. Students can begin the online Master’s in Religion in September, January, or May and can complete the 60 credit hour degree in just over three years. Only five one-week visits to the Charlotte campus are required to fulfill the residency component.

Concentrations Designed to Equip

In addition to a foundational core in Bible, theology, ethics, and missions, students in the online Master’s in Religion have the option to concentrate in a focus area:
