New Fundamentals of Supervision Course for Fall 2010

Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary offered the course: The Fundamentals of Supervision in the Fall of 2010.  This course was offered for 45 Continuing Education credit hours or as a 3.0 credit hour class.

As of October 2009, the NC LPC Board enacted new laws regarding LPC supervision.  If a contract was not established before that date, then all qualified clinical supervisors must have a 3.0 credit hour course or 45 hours of continuing education in supervision. In order to be an approved supervisor, one must have either 45 Continuing Education hours or have had a 3.0 credit hour course in supervision.

Understanding North Carolina Licensure Changes for LPC and MFT

As of Oct. 1, 2009, NC has significantly changed the licensing requirements for both LPC and MFT Licenses. In light of these changes, this Continuing Education Seminar reviewed information about these topics and more: When and how to apply for licensure, studying for the National Exam, new supervision requirements and various strategies for creating continuity between current practice and the new regulations.
