Biographical Information:
Matt graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, in 2009. There he earned a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies with a focus on international development. After leaving Hope College, he spent some time overseas before feeling called to seminary. Matt is currently in his second year at Gordon-Conwell pursuing an M.Div. degree. After finishing seminary, he plans to move on to either full-time pastoral ministry or missions work.
Matt met his wife, Katharine, during their freshman year at Hope College. They were both members of the swim team and dated throughout their time there. They were married in Michigan in July 2010, just before moving to the North Shore of Boston. Matt and Katharine currently attend Vineyard MetroNorth in Saugus. Katharine is a full-time athletic trainer at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts and is taking classes toward a Master's in Health Education at Boston University. In their free time the Roses enjoy watching movies, reading, cooking and swimming.
