Dr. Tim Laniak: Old Testament Survey

Dr. Laniak served as a missionary in 15 countries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, as the director of the International Fellowship House in Boston, and as a welfare housing manager for elderly immigrants in Brookline, MA. Dr. Catherine McDowell: Interpreting the Bible, Old Testament Survey

Dr. McDowell comes to Gordon-Conwell from Wheaton College in Illinois, where she also taught Old Testament. Her teaching experience includes former positions at Gordon-Conwell and Harvard. As a graduate teaching fellow at Harvard, she taught classical Hebrew, Ancient Near Eastern history and archaeology. Read more...

Dr. Gerry Wheaton: Interpreting the Bible, New Testament Survey

Dr. Wheaton came to Gordon-Conwell in 2015 from Seminario ESEPA in San Jose, Costa Rica. During twelve years as a missionary, he participated in the founding of Christ Bible Seminary in Nagoya, Japan, and taught Biblical languages and exegesis in a range of contexts, including Scotland, South America and the Caribbean. Dr. Donald Fairbairn: Theology Survey I, Church History to the Reformation

Dr. Fairbairn is the Robert E. Cooley Professor of Early Christianity. His responsibilities include further developing the Robert C. Cooley Center for the Study of Early Christianity at the Charlotte campus, which explores the historical foundations of the Christian faith. Read more...

Dr. Ryan Reeves: Church History from the Reformation

Dr. Reeves joined Gordon-Conwell in 2010, bringing with him both teaching and administrative experience. In 2010, Dr. Reeves completed a Ph.D. in Church History from the University of Cambridge on Tudor evangelicalism. In 2009, he received the Archbishop Cranmer Prize, awarded by the Cambridge History Faculty for an essay on the relationship between Zurich and the theology of William Tyndale. Read more...


Dr. Xiyi (Kevin) Yao: World Mission of the Church

Dr. Yao came to Gordon Conwell with 10 years experience ministering in Hong Kong and mainland China. His career as a theological educator officially started in 2003, when he became an assistant (most recently associate) professor at the Department of Theological Studies, China Graduate School of Theology (CGST), located in Hong Kong. Dr. Nicole Martin: Spiritual Formation for Ministry, Readiness for Ministry, Church and Non-Profit Management

Dr. Martin is currently the Assistant Professor of Ministry and Leadership Development at Gordon-Conwell in Charlotte. She also serves as a church mobilizer with American Bible Society. She is a minister at The Park Church in Charlotte, North Carolina under the direction of Bishop Claude Richard Alexander, Jr, where she formerly served as the Executive Minister.   Read more...

Dr. Rodney Cooper (MACL Program Director): The Person of the Christian Leader, Managing Conflict, The Christian Leader as Communicator, Team and Team Building, Biblical Theology of Leadership (MACL)

Dr. Chris Cook, Pastoral Counseling

Chris comes to Gordon-Conwell with a broad background of teaching, pastoral and clinical experience, having worked in established pastoral church ministry, church planting, and a range of mental health settings. Chris has taught students of diverse ages, from grade to graduate school, in a variety of settings, including private grade school, public and private higher education, and in ministry as a pastor and teacher. Prior to joining Gordon-Conwell, Chris was lead pastor of a church in Denver, NC. He has over 15 years of experience in ministry. Read more...

Dr. Robert Mayer, Introduction to Theological Research

Dr. Mayer, who joined Gordon-Conwell in 1997, brings extensive experience in writing, publishing and research to his roles as Senior Librarian and Director of the Gordon-Conwell libraries, and Director of the Harold Lindsell Library at the Charlotte campus. Read more...
