Lay Ministry Training
Gordon-Conwell—Boston seeks to serve the larger metropolitan community by offering a non-degree diploma and a graduate certificate program for clergy and lay leaders.
Diploma in Urban Church Ministry
The Diploma in Urban Church Ministry provides urban practitioners with practical training as well as theological and biblical reflections. The diploma program requirements involve taking five (5) courses over nine (9) months period. A Certificate of Completion is awarded upon completing the five (5) required courses. Many of our students who have not completed their undergraduate degree work take advantage of the diploma program to matriculate into a master’s level degree program. Graduate Certificate Program
The graduate certificate in Executive Ministry Leadership is designed for persons seeking to deepen their practice in ministry through advanced graduate theological training. As like the Th.M., participants in the graduate certificate program develop their ability to apply advanced theological training to decision-making, problem solving, planning and leadership in a practical ministry setting. Participants will become empowered after completing a 4-course track in their career while making meaningful contributions as a practical theologian and a ministry leader.
