The Alumni Office, in partnership with Thriving in Ministry in New England, is excited to offer this opportunity for learning and conversation with Dr. Andrew Root, author of The Congregation in a Secular Age and Faith Formation in a Secular Age. 

Every day in subtle and not so subtle ways, our congregations are being discipled by the culture. One of the biggest challenges of our day is how to do ministry in a culture that is increasingly secular. It can be difficult to understand the current missiological context of North America—and especially of New England where there has long been secularity—but there is a new face to secularity today.
