Faculty and Alumnae Contribute to the New NLT Every Woman’s Bible

Four Gordon-Conwell alumnae, including two faculty members, contributed to Tyndale House’s new Every Woman’s Bible (NLT). Dr. Virginia Ward (MAYM ’10, DMin ’16), dean of the Boston campus and assistant professor of youth ministry and leadership; Dr. Catherine McDowell (MA ’96, MAR ’97), associate professor of Old Testament; Carmen Joy Imes (MABS ’11); and Christine Walker (MDiv ’21) were joined by “more than 100 women around the world [to] explore the heartfelt needs, gritty challenges, and uncommon faithfulness of women of the Bible, throughout history, and today,” shared Tyndale.

In addition to articles and other general content from all the aforementioned, Imes authored the study notes for Genesis and Exodus; Dr. McDowell authored Lamentations, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Nahum, Habakkuk, and Malachi; and Walker authored Ezekiel, Daniel, and Micah.
