Gordon-Conwell Equips 291 More Christian Leaders for Kingdom Work
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary celebrates its fifty-sixth commencement season this May 2025. Founded in 1969 with the mission to equip Christian leaders to think theologically, live biblically, and engage globally, the seminary has equipped 13,000 men and women to serve in ministry, counseling, the academy, and the workplace in the U.S. and around the world.
This year, the board of trustees will confer master’s degrees to 248 students and doctoral degrees to 43 students across two ceremonies: one in Hamilton, MA, on May 10 and another in Charlotte, NC, on May 17. The seminary gives glory to God for the 291 students being sent out for Kingdom work this year.
Among the graduating class are the student speakers: Oliver Douglas Van Ruth, recipient of the President’s Award and Division of Practical Theology Award, for the Hamilton commencement; and David Stewart Moreau and Kirstyn Colette Wright for the Networked Education commencement in Charlotte.
Several more students who display exemplary Christian character and academic skills will deliver reflections at baccalaureate on the Hamilton campus: Laurie Sullivan Lawliss; Eliezer Perez (recipient of the Mentored Ministry Award); Luciene Caldeira Berbet Nascimento; and Jason Martin Olson.
In-person attendance is by invitation only, but the commencement ceremonies may be viewed online on their respective days at gcts.edu/live. Livestreaming begins approximately fifteen minutes before each ceremony.
