Spring 2026 Issue of Ex Fonte Magazine is Released

The Spring/Summer 2026 issue of Ex Fonte—a thought magazine published by Gordon-Conwell—has been released. Offering a sweeping and imaginative exploration of theology, science, and the arts under the theme “The Heavens Are Yours,” this issue invites readers to contemplate the vastness of the cosmos and its implications for faith, human identity, and imagination, drawing together insights from astrobiology, poetic theology, and spiritual reflection. A featured conversation with Dr. Andrew Davison considers how Christian doctrine intersects with the possibility of extraterrestrial life, while essays by Timothy C. Morgan and Gordon-Conwell professor Dr. Sean McDonough probe the cultural fascination with alien intelligence and call readers to rediscover wonder in the created order. Additional contributions—from a rich discussion with Gordon-Conwell professor Dr. Adonis Vidu on union with Christ as the Bridegroom along with reflections on George Herbert’s enduring spiritual guidance—together embody Ex Fonte’s commitment to serious Christian reflection that enlarges both the intellect and spiritual devotion.
Coinciding with the issue’s release is the video “From the Source,” highlighting a conversation with the issue’s contributor, Dr. Adonis Vidu. Hosted by editor in chief Wendy Murray, the episode features Dr. Vidu in a compelling dialogue about his forthcoming book that explores the biblical imagery of Christ as bridegroom and the Church as his bride. Both the conversation and this exciting new issue serve Ex Fonte’s mission to be “a trusted platform for serious Christian reflection that nurtures depth over immediacy, discernment over reaction, and unity over fragmentation.” Together, the new issue and video mark Ex Fonte’s broadening reach and deepening its contribution to thoughtful theological discourse.
