Conference: The Future of Religion & Mission
Posted on January 22, 2020
We’re having a party conference and you’re invited!
From March 29 – April 1, 2020, we’re hosting a conference on the future of religion and mission here at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. This event has a dual purpose. First, we’re formally launching the publication of the World Christian Encyclopedia among our colleagues and friends at GCTS. Second, we’re taking a deep dive into global Christianity by including panel sessions and lectures on some pressing issues related to Christianity today. The conference features:
- Keynote address: Mary Ho, Executive International Leader of All Nations mission organization
- Keynote address: Casely Essamuah: Secretary of the Global Christian Forum ecumenical organization
- Panel session on Christian interaction with other world religions
- Workshops on Christian trends in China, the Middle East, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Central Asia
- Panel session on Christianity and social action (NGOs, environmentalism, etc.)
- Presentation of key findings from the Encyclopedia by authors Todd Johnson and Gina Zurlo
- Special message from GCTS president and missiologist Scott Sunquist
This event is open to the public and all sessions will be held at Gordon-Conwell’s Hamilton campus. For more information, including housing and registration information, please see:
