The Abdullah Family Trust Student Scholarship Fund is designed to encourage individuals who are seeking to earn a Master of Divinity degree in order to pursue a role in pastoral ministry.
The goal of the fund’s founders is to enrich individuals who have a heart for the church. The award is based primarily on the assessment of applicant’s need, desire and aptitude by a small board of individuals. The primary vehicle for this assessment will be a series of short essays written by the applicant (see below).
Awards will be granted in the Fall, and will cover the tuition of one course in each term of the academic year awarded (Fall, Spring, Summer). Recipients must be enrolled in at least 2 courses per semester for the award to apply. Scholarship renewal for subsequent academic years will be based on faculty recommendation.
Application for scholarship will include:
- Scholarship essays
- Statement on career objectives
- Statement on financial need
