Kelly Breen-Boyce Counseling Scholarship

Awarded to up to three recipients annually. The Kelly Breen-Boyce Counseling Scholarship is available to both new and returning full-time students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Christian Counseling (MACC) program offered through the Charlotte campus of Gordon-Conwell. The seminary will award up to $9,000 annually to the chosen student(s). The scholarship will be evenly distributed for the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Previous recipients are eligible to reapply each year. Students must be in good standing (academically, financially, and in the community) to receive the scholarship. The award is not automatically renewed.

Eligibility

To be eligible for award consideration, you must (at the time of application):

  • • Be a counseling student enrolled in the MACC
  • • Stated interest in pursuing insight-oriented/psychodynamic approaches to psychotherapy and counseling
  • • Have a demonstrated financial need through FAFSA or in writing
  • • Agree to complete one of the following prior to or during the year of the scholarship award: an elective course in “Attachment Focused and Psychodynamic Therapies” (offered at Gordon-Conwell every other year); or assigned readings and a written essay in attachment focused and psychodynamic therapies.
