Awarded to a maximum of five applicants. Named in honor of the late Reverend Michael E. Haynes, longtime Trustee of Gordon-Conwell and pastor of Twelfth Baptist Church in Roxbury, MA, the Reverend Michael E. Haynes scholarship provides a 75% scholarship towards tuition for full-time study, beginning in the fall semester. Recipients of this award will be committed to serving the African-American church. Preference will be given to those in the MDiv program or called to pastoral ministry. Recipients should complete their application for admission to Gordon-Conwell and the Scholarship Application by July 5. This scholarship automatically renews each year of study as recipients remain in good standing (academically, financially, and in the community).

The Rev. Michael Haynes Scholarship is not combinable with other Gordon-Conwell scholarships, except for the Pierce Scholarship.
