Awarded to a maximum of five applicants. Named in honor of Russell Conwell, a minister, author, lawyer, and founder of Temple University and Conwell School of Theology, the Russell Conwell Academic Scholarship provides a 75% scholarship towards tuition. Recipients of this award will demonstrate exceptional promise for teaching ministry and academic work upon graduation from Gordon-Conwell and will reflect the Seminary’s commitment to “think theologically” in service to the Church. Recipients must have received a GPA of 3.5 or higher at an accredited undergraduate institution and must complete their application for admission to Gordon-Conwell and the Scholarship Application by July 5. Recipients will receive the scholarship for the entirety of their degree program as they remain in good standing (academically, financially, and in the community).
