Program Overview

Our cornerstone degree, the Master of Divinity prepares nearly 40% of our students to serve in ministry around the world. If you feel called to vocational ministry, to nurturing and growing churches locally and internationally, to taking the Bible seriously through intensive study and sharing the Word of God faithfully, the MDiv is designed for you.

Students will be prepared to meet ordination requirements for many Protestant denominations in the U.S., as well as service in chaplaincy programs (military, hospital, national parks and others).

Students may also choose to pursue a Master of Theology (Th.M.) as a capstone year of focused ministry preparation after completing the MDiv.

  • To understand the basic content and themes of the Old and New Testaments in their historical and cultural settings, as well as the historical and theological dimensions of the Christian faith
