Students who complete the graduate certificate can apply all credits toward an MDiv, MACO, or MA program at Gordon-Conwell (and many other seminaries) upon successful completion. Please note that each degree program has a GPA minimum requirement. If you are a layperson seeking to be better informed and better prepared for Christian service, the Graduate Certificate in Christian Studies is for you. Designed for those currently serving or planning to serve in a lay context, not in vocational ministry, the Graduate Certificate will give you a good introduction to Christian studies and seminary classes.
The Graduate Certificate in Christian Studies requires eight total courses, including two electives and two courses from each division of study:

If you wish to pursue any of our master’s degrees, you must apply to the master’s program prior to completing the sixth graduate certificate course. Gordon-Conwell awards full graduate credit for courses successfully completed in the certificate program, and will transfer courses wherever possible into the degree.
