Online Options - Gordon Conwell

Maximum Flexibility

Gordon-Conwell is committed to maximizing your flexibility to complete a counseling degree.

We learned a lot during the pandemic about unique delivery methods for counseling coursework, and some of the changes we made during the pandemic are here to stay. While some students prefer in-person classes, others want a counseling degree with more online options.

Through the use of a modality we call “Digital Live” (using the Zoom platform), students at Gordon-Conwell have the option of attending classes in-person (“Live”) or online (“Digital”). Students attending digitally and students attending in-person both participate simultaneously with the same instructor, ensuring that the experience of online students is similar to the experience of in-person students.

Whether attending online or in-person, all students attend classes in real-time with a live instructor at scheduled times throughout the course. To accommodate current work and ministry commitments, classes are offered in the evenings and on the weekends, and you may complete your counseling internship in your local area.

The MACC is a cohort-based program with intakes in the Fall and Spring semesters. To provide you additional flexibility, you can choose a 3-year, 4-year, or 5-year cohort to complete your program.

Annual Residencies

Each year in the program, students attend a 3-day residency on-site at our Charlotte campus. Please reach out to our admissions counselors to discuss the details of our 3-day residencies.
