Friday, April 1, 2022 will be the first anniversary of the death of Dr. Robert E. Cooley, Gordon-Conwell’s second president. To mark this occasion, the Robert C. Cooley Center for the Study of Early Christianity and Gordon-Conwell—Charlotte will hold a celebration of Dr. Cooley’s life. We will share pictures and memories from his life and career, hear from people who represent the breadth of his influence—on archaeology and on theological education–at Gordon-Conwell and beyond, and rejoice in the ways the Lord worked through this remarkable servant of his Kingdom.

The event will also include an update on some exciting plans we have for the Cooley Center that will honor Dr. Cooley’s work and extend his vision, hopes, and dreams through the center’s long-term ministry.

We hope you will plan to join us on Friday, April 1! We will begin with an in-person reception at 7:00 p.m., followed by a formal program both in-person and via Zoom from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
