C.S. Lewis profoundly impacted the modern world, and The Most Reluctant Convert’s Max McLean will bring his persona to life at Charlotte’s Blumenthal Center in November!
Join fellow Gordon-Conwell alumni, faculty, and friends to see a live performance of C.S. Lewis Onstage: Further Up and Further In, followed by star Max McLean’s brief address to Gordon-Conwell guests, as well as a lively discussion featuring C.S. Lewis expert Timothy Willard, who is writing a book on Lewis for Oxford University Press. The discussion will also feature Bruce Long, Executive Director of Christians in Theatre Arts and producer of the Tony Award-winning musical Memphis, among other plays performed at the Blumenthal.
This promises to be a great opportunity to connect with fellow alumni and friends, while at the same time treating yourself and your family (children 16 & up only) to an evening out, exploring the intersection of Christianity and cultural arts.
Gordon-Conwell’s Office of Networked Education is making these tickets available at face value (plus website vendor fees) through Eventbrite. Please click here to make your purchase. (Final cost for each ticket is $57.43.) Tickets through GCTS are first-come, first-served, and nonrefundable. The deadline for purchase is November 7.
Please be sure to use the Eventbrite link, rather than the Blumenthal page so that we can include you in Gordon-Conwell’s group!
Your e-ticket for the Blumenthal performance will be emailed approximately one to two weeks before the event. Gordon-Conwell will also follow up with details about the meet-up place for Max McLean’s address and for the café discussion with Timothy Willard and Bruce Long.
The performance begins at 3:00 pm on November 20, 2022. Immediately following, Max McLean will address Gordon-Conwell guests in an alcove of the Blumenthal, and then Gordon-Conwell’s group will convene with Timothy Willard, Bruce Long, and Gordon-Conwell professors to discuss the play at a nearby café.
