Join us on Tuesday, October 17 for our second Dean’s Forum of the academic year!
Pastoral care and counseling have always played an integral part of establishing pastoral responsibilities and identities. In recent years, addressing mental health concerns is becoming more prevalent in our churches, and church leaders are paying attention to the caregiving and counseling needs of their community. In this forum, we will examine particular mental health concerns of Asian Americans and pastoral counseling issues in the Asian American context. Moreover, we will explore creative models of counseling that will encourage and equip our churches to increase mental health awareness and improve our caregiving systems. All are welcome, as we learn together and expand the caregiving roles of our churches, through the lens of Asian Americans.
The Dean’s Forum discussion is free and is open to the public. RSVP is required for those who are planning to attend in person. Lunch will be provided to those who will be attending in person.
