The Tree of Life is a contemporary masterpiece written and directed by Terrence Malick. The film portrays the suffering and glory experienced by an American family and the possibility of grace and beauty in a world full of evil and loss. It is narratively complex, theologically rich, and visually stunning, all of which makes viewing on the big screen and guided group discussion the most fitting way to experience the film.
