Chaplaincy Day

Chaplain (Major General) Dr. Doug Carver retired US Army 22nd Chief of Chaplains and Executive Director of Chaplaincy for the Southern Baptist Convention’s North American Mission Board. As a Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary Faculty Mentor for Chaplains, Dr. Carver brings experience leading and serving over 2900 chaplains supporting the religious and pastoral needs of our 1.2 million soldiers and families.
The event has three parts:
- 1. Chaplaincy Representatives in the Great Hall: Drop by any time to meet chaplains and recruiters from the military, health care, prison, and law enforcement to learn about opportunities and processes.
- 2. Free Informational Lunch in Alumni Hall: Listen to Panel of chaplains share about “The Amazing Ministry of Chaplaincy” (prison, healthcare, fire, military).
- 3. Targeted Entity Meetings in person/Zoom: Throughout the day, representatives from each type of chaplaincy will take turns presenting their ministry in a focused, uninterrupted setting. (Schedule TBA).
Whether you are a current Gordon-Conwell or Gordon College student, a local pastor, or a proud veteran—Chaplaincy Day is free and open to the public.
