Fall Ministry Forum: Healing Leadership Trauma

Come learn from Dr. Nicholas Rowe in this hybrid event as he teaches and expands on key concepts from a book he co-authored with his wife, Sheila Wise Rowe, Healing Leadership Trauma: Finding Emotional Health and Helping Others Flourish. He explores the critical need for healing leadership trauma and supporting others in their journeys towards flourishing. This workshop will provide key guidance for identifying issues of trauma that commonly arise among pastors and ministry leaders within churches and other contexts of pastoral care. Dr. Rowe will highlight best practices for individual and corporate healing, forgiveness, pastoral care, and restorative relationships that lead to collective flourishing.

About the Speaker

Nicholas Rowe

Dr. Nicholas Rowe is the Kenneth and Jean Hansen Associate Professor of Leadership at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has over thirty years of senior leadership roles in higher education and nonprofit organizations and is a consultant in cross-cultural reconciliation and conflict resolution in the USA and South Africa. As a historian, Nicholas reflects on cultural identity formation in marginalized communities in the Atlantic World. He also provides spiritual direction for individuals and reconciling communities. He is co-author, along with his wife, Sheila Wise Rowe, of the book Healing Leadership Trauma.

This event is co-organized by the Gordon-Conwell Institute and Thriving in Ministry at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
