Refresh is a soul-care retreat for Christian artists and creatives, facilitated by Gordon-Conwell alumna and visual artist Melanie Spinks (MABS ’07), with contributions from Dr. Leighton Ford, Dr. Wes Vander Lugt, worship leader Sam Marsh, and others.

We invite you to step away for a time of spiritual renewal, reflection, and connection. Together, we will explore three movements of creative formation: Upward, reconnecting with the Creator who inspires our work; Inward, attending to the renewal of our inner life and calling; and Onward, considering how our creative gifts can serve others and reflect the light of Christ.

Through biblical reflection, historical examples of Christian artists, workshops, listening prayer, visio divina, and shared conversation, participants will reflect on the relationship between faith and creativity. While some sessions will draw on the visual arts, the retreat welcomes writers, musicians, dancers, performers, and creatives of all kinds.
